Mulgrave Machine Works to receive provincial funding

Mulgrave Machine Works Ltd., a metal fabrication shop in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia, will receive $96,541 through the Productivity Investment Program (PIP) to update equipment and train workers.

Under PIP's Capital Investment Incentive, the company will receive $85,791 for a new metal cutting machine, allowing specialized design cutting with more control and accuracy. The equipment will be used to meet the needs of clients in Canada, Cuba, and Brazil. The company will receive another $10,750 from PIP's Workplace Innovation and Productivity Skills Incentive for training to manage human resources more effectively.

In PIP's first year, Nova Scotia has invested more than $14 million in more than 220 projects at about 180 companies in the province.
