Norsk Titanium names senior VP of operations

Norsk Titanium AS (NTi), a manufacturer of titanium components for industrial applications, has announced the appointment of Christopher Bohlmann as senior vice president, operations. He leads the establishment of a long-term production site in the U.S.

Bohlmann previously served as director of operations at Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions Savannah Forgings Operations. Previously he held executive positions with Firth Rixson.

The company has announced plans to establish the world’s first industrial-scale direct metal deposition (DMD) manufacturing facility in the U.S. The transition of the company’s manufacturing operations to the U.S. is part of its long-term strategy to commercialize the application of 3-D printing technology for titanium components.
