Oberg Industries' Mexico operation gets new name, location

Oberg Industries, Freeport, Pa., has renamed its precision metal stamping and manufacturing operation in Mexico and has moved it to a new location. The new site is not far from the old facility, in Tecate, Mexico.

Oberg's First Latin American Corp. (FLAC) has merged with Oberg Industries Inc. and now operates under the name Oberg Mexico. The company has outgrown its space at FLAC and has entered into a long-term lease with the El Bajio Industrial Park for 56,000 sq. ft. of space; all personnel and metal forming operations have been transferred to that location.

The new facility provides the company with nearly 21,000 sq. ft. of additional manufacturing space for precision metal stamping, transfer metal stamping, and hydroforming. Press capacities are from 30 to 200 tons, including 110-ton transfer presses and related auxiliary equipment.
