Pate Sheet Metal, a welding and metal fabrication shop in Lumberton, N.C., has announced it is closing its doors after 37 years in business.
Founded in 1979, the firm once employed as many as 20 people. Currently the company employs founder Gene Pate, one assistant, and an office assistant.
