Plex Systems names recipients of Plex Impact Awards

Plex Systems, Troy, Mich., a provider of cloud ERP for manufacturing, has announced the winners of its Plex Impact Awards. The awards honor manufacturers for industry leadership, innovation, and transformation.

Firstronic, a Grand Rapids, Mich., provider of electronic manufacturing services to the automotive, industrial, and medical device industries, has won the Plex Impact Award: Leadership. Ninety days after its first go-live on Plex, Firstronic launched and went live at a second, completely new production facility in Mexico. The firm has upgraded its entire infrastructure, including installing more than 100 machines and production validation testing on all of its products and processes.

MFC Netform, Shelby Township, Mich., was named the winner of the Plex Impact Award: Innovation. The firm manufactures cold-formed metal components used in a variety of industries. The company was recognized for its innovations in manufacturing technology and end-to-end manufacturing processes. The firm has leveraged Plex to support everything from quality management to inventory.

Indianapolis-based MPI Corp., winner of the Plex Impact Award: Transformation, purchased ABC Metals Inc. and set in place a strategy to transform the precision slit metal supplier with new systems across three plants. ABC Metals automated nearly every aspect of its business and used web services to create a made-to-order front-end to its Plex system. This allowed ABC to match available inventory against user requirements down to the attribute level.
