FMA Communications Inc. has announced that Practical Welding Television has won a Silver Digital Azbee Award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).
Webisode four of Practical Welding TV, "Learn Better GTAW Practices," won a Silver Award in the Step-by-Step/How-To video category. The winners of the 2010 second annual Digital Azbee Awards, honoring the best business-to-business editorial and design for digital content, were announced in a special webinar held Nov. 17.
Practical Welding TV complements Practical Welding Today® magazine by covering basic welding preparation and skills development issues. Found online at www.thefabricator.com/pwtv, the Webisodes have been viewed nearly 50,000 times.
"We are thrilled by the response our video series has received, not only by our peers but by the viewers as well," said Amanda Carlson, editor of Practical Welding Today and host of the PWTV Webisodes. "We wanted to create something that was as down-to-earth and informative as our magazine, and I feel we accomplished that."
"We are very proud to receive this distinguished award," said Jim Gorzek, associate publisher of FMA Communications and producer of the PWTV Webisodes. "The industry's response to PWTV has been phenomenal and we look forward to creating more Webisodes in 2011."
