Prima Electro, Yaskawa form partnership in CNC market

Prima Electro S.p.A. and Yaskawa Europe GmbH have signed a strategic partnership agreement for the CNC market. Prima has chosen Yaskawa's Sigma-5 SD drives and motors to implement its new Osai OpenControl CNC software and hardware components. The products will be connected through Mechatrolink III fieldbus.

Under this agreement, Yaskawa will make its products available to Prima Electro for Prima's integration and resale, while the two companies join forces in the after-sales service. The agreement is expected to be extended to other subsidiaries in the coming months on a global basis.
