PVS Metals adds steel leveling machines
PVS Metals, a division of Owen Industries Inc. in Carter Lake, Iowa, has completed the installation of what it says is one of the world’s largest steel leveling machines equipped with stretcher/leveler technology.
With the leveler working in tandem with a fully automated fiber laser tower, the steel service center can process sheet and plate up to 1 in. thick. Materials from mild steel to high-strength Grade 80, as well as floor plate, are stocked and ready for immediate delivery. The facility also houses a 750-ton press brake with 18-ft. bed and punching operations for nontraditional forming.
