RDI Group appoints chief information officer

The RDI Group, Itasca, Ill., a provider of engineered capital equipment for such industries as metal coil processing, power and utilities, and contract manufacturing, has named Shank Shanmugabaskaran as chief information officer.

Shanmugabaskaran has worked for the company for five years, first as manager and most recently as vice president of information technology and business process. Before joining the company, he served as manager of information technology for GeoAnalytics. He also has served as IT manager for the Medical School computer labs at the University of Wisconsin- Madison.

Shanmugabaskaran has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
