Ruskin Mfg. to close West Virginia plant

Ruskin Mfg., Fairmont, W.V., plans to close its plant in West Virginia in July 2014 and lay off 185 workers. The company attributes the pending closure to a decline in commercial construction markets.

The plant's operations will be transferred to facilities in Lexington, Ky.; Geneva, Ala.,; and Parsons, Kan. The company produces air and sound control products for the HVAC market, as well as dampers for tunnel ventilation, process applications, and wastewater treatment facilities.
