Schletter Inc. opens facility in North Carolina

Schletter© Inc., a provider of photovoltaic mounting systems, has opened its North American headquarters in Shelby, N.C. The facility employs more than 100 people and gives the company the largest production capacity for solar mounting systems in the U.S., it states.

With expansion completed, the plant has 140,000 sq. ft. of highly automated manufacturing space for producing solar mounting systems and custom sheet metal fabrication, as well as administrative offices.

The facility plans to hire 70 more people before the end of 2013. The company also has manufacturing plants in Tucson, Ariz., and Ontario, as well as offices in Connecticut. A new office is scheduled to be opened in Texas in 2014.
