Seco/Warwick modernizes furnace lines at Seat Components

Seco/Warwick, Świebodzin, Poland, currently is completing the modernization of the first of two pusher furnace lines for automotive components at Seat Components in El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain. The project began in March 2014.

The first modernized line is finishing the final testing phase. The repair of the second system is scheduled for completion in March 2015. Seat Components has placed an order for the modernization and refurbishment of two more heat processing lines to help improve total system efficiency.

The rebuild includes replacement of the furnace lining, burner system and fan assemblies of both the heat-treating and tempering furnaces. Included in the modernization project is the addition of a washing machine and material handling system. Seat Corp. decided to replace the existing control cabinet with a new, updated control system.
