Siemens expands Frontier Partner program for manufacturing-focused start-ups

Siemens, Berkeley, Calif., has announced the expansion of the start-up Frontier Partner program run by Siemens Technology to Business (TTB) and Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) software organization.

The program grants manufacturing-focused start-ups access to the PLM software, its technology partner program, and other developmental resources. The software addresses areas such as product development, manufacturing, product data management, and manufacturing operations management.

Siemens has already enrolled several start-up companies into the program as part of a pilot focusing on 3-D printing. The company now is expanding the program to entrepreneurs with a focus on robotics technologies.

The program supports start-ups in the product development phase. Start-ups accepted into the pilot receive a yearlong development license to a comprehensive suite of the PLM software that enables them to develop the new product. Participants also have access to Siemens development mentors and other technology partners who use the software.

Start-ups looking to join the Frontier Partner program can apply at www.ttb.siemens.com/frontier.
