Simonsen Iron Works to develop new product focus

The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) board, Des Moines, Iowa, has awarded a $200,000 float loan to metal fabrication company Simonsen Iron Works Inc., for development of a new product focus in the skid steer attachment accessory category.

The Spencer, Iowa-based company, which manufactures outdoor recreational and agricultural products, is expected to create nine jobs and retain 32 jobs. The project will result in a capital investment of $845,000.
