Solar Atmospheres presidents receive MTI awards
Souderton, Pa.-based vacuum heat-treating company Solar Atmospheres has announced that Corporate President Roger Jones has won the 2016 M. Lance Miller Legend Award from the Metal Treating Institute (MTI), Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
The award recognizes current or former MTI members for their lifetime commitment to the betterment of MTI, with one or more notable accomplishments. Jones has served on numerous MTI committees and twice served on the board of trustees. He also served as MTI president in 2004-2005.
In addition, Bob Hill, president of Solar Atmospheres of Western PA, won the 2016 Distinguished Service Award from MTI. This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions of lasting importance to the heat-treating industry. Hill has served on numerous MTI committees and is a past board trustee. He also served as president in 2014.
