Timken completes acquisition of Carlstar Belts

The Timken Co., North Canton, Ohio, a provider of tapered roller bearings, has completed the acquisition of Springfield, Mo.-based Carlstar Belts, a manufacturer of belts used in industrial, commercial, and consumer applications.

In addition to belts, the Timken power transmission portfolio includes gearboxes, housed unit bearings, chain, couplings, lubrication systems, and a variety of industrial services.
