Toyota to expand in Alabama

Toyota has announced plans to expand its Huntsville, Ala., engine production facility, investing an additional $80 million and adding at least 125 new jobs. The expansion will bring total investment at Toyota's Alabama plant to more than $700 million and the total number of jobs to more than 1,150.

By spring 2014 the new assembly line will add another 216,000 to annual V-6 engine capacity, increasing total engine production at the Huntsville plant to more than 700,000 annually.
