Transystems to open fifth Idaho facility

Transystems has announced plans to invest $1 million in a facility in Rupert, Idaho. The company will move the semitruck-trailer manufacturing portion of its business from Twin Falls, Idaho, to the new facility, where production is expected to begin in summer 2016. It will employ 15 to 20 people.

Transystems will build new office space and bring in metal fabrication equipment to manufacture specialized truck trailers in the new 30,000-sq.-ft. facility—the company’s fifth location in Idaho. The 7,000-sq.-ft. Twin Falls facility will continue maintenance of trailers.
