VibrAlign brings maintenance seminar to Indiana Oct. 14

Richmond, Va.-based VibrAlign Inc. has announced that its third annual Realigning America Tour will stop at the Cabela’s store in Hammond, Ind., on Oct. 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

By the time it ends on Oct. 15 in Glendale, Ariz., the tour will have visited 18 cities in 16 states since it began in Broken Arrow, Okla., on June 3. While the past two tours have focused solely on shaft alignment and couplings, this year’s tour also discusses machinery diagnostics and identifying key problems with attendees’ machines that can cause misalignment.

During the registration process, attendees can submit specific issues, problems, and subjects they would like discussed at the event. Subjects often covered at the tour events include shaft alignment concepts (basic and advanced), coupling failure modes, dial indicators versus lasers, verifying repair results, critical prealignment steps, identifying problem machines, alignment tolerances, and thermal growth and target.

Attendees also will see a Oneprod Hawk machinery diagnostic tool, produced by VibrAlign and its partner ACOEM, in action. The tool is designed for mechanics to help detect machine failures before they happen.
