Weld-Ed announces 2016 professional development workshops

The National Center for Welding Education and Training (Weld-Ed), located at Lorain County Community College in Lorain, Ohio, has announced its 2016 professional development workshop series.

The series includes seven training modules—welding metallurgy; joining and cutting processes; design, assembly, and robotic welding; welding codes, specifications, and safety; laser welding; instructional design and teaching strategies; and NDT—designed for welding educators and industrial trainers. The hands-on, instructional workshops are held throughout the summer at teaching facilities around the country.

Each workshop offers five days of comprehensive training. Participants earn four continuing education units and 40 professional development hours. For course descriptions, locations, and registration instructions, visit www.bit.ly/WeldEd2016.
