Whirlpool receives 2017 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award from EPA

Whirlpool Corp., Benton Harbor, Mich., has announced it has received the 2017 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award for Sustained Excellence from the U.S. EPA. The reward recognizes the company for manufacturing energy-efficient kitchen and laundry appliances that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The company was recognized specifically for introducing two new models of heat pump dryers, its continued training activities with employees and retailers about ENERGY STAR and energy efficiency, its collaborative social media promotions with ENERGY STAR, and its increased focus on sustainability initiatives overall.
