Whitcraft Group announces $234 million contract to supply parts, assemblies to Pratt & Whitney

The Whitcraft Group, Eastford, Conn., has signed a 10-year, $234 million contract to supply parts and assemblies to United Technologies' (UTC) Pratt & Whitney division for its next-generation PurePower® Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) engine family.

Whitcraft will produce sheet metal components and assemblies at the Eastford facility and precision machined parts and assemblies at the Connecticut Tool facility in Plainville, Conn., and the Dell Mfg. facility in Farmington, Conn.

At peak production in 2020, this new contract is projected to total more than $30 million per year of incremental revenue for the Whitcraft Group. In anticipation of entering into this agreement, the Whitcraft Group has hired more than 30 new employees in the past two months.
