Wyoming Machine co-presidents receive NAWBO Lifetime Achievement Awards

Wyoming Machine (WMI), a sheet metal fabricator in Stacy, Minn., has announced that owners and sisters Traci and Lori Tapani, who serve as co-presidents, have received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Minnesota Chapter.

The award recognizes the Tapani sisters’ leadership in their community and in the fabricating industry. They are longtime advocates of in-house training for unskilled and skilled workers. Lori is a member of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA) Management Advisory Council. Traci has earned the national STEP Award for leadership by women in manufacturing. They have hosted countless tours for high school students and have helped Pine Technical and Community College promote manufacturing careers.

Lori has served as chair of Pine Tech’s Foundation Board, and Traci has served as chairman of the Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs® Foundation, an FMA nonprofit organization inspiring youth to seek manufacturing careers. Traci also was one of 150 leaders nationally to serve at a White House Summit on employee training. Both are leaders in many other civic organizations as well.
