Yamaha ships first Viking side-by-side vehicles, expands factory

Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A., Cypress, Calif., has shipped the first Viking side-by-side vehicles from its Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corp. of America (YMMC) facility in Newnan, Ga. Since every Yamaha Viking distributed worldwide will come from YMMC, the factory has opened a second plant dedicated to the Viking and future SxS models to handle increased production.

The facility covers more than 850,000 sq. ft., and the company has added 130 employees. The plant also assembles all of the company's 4x4 ATVs, SxS vehicles, golf carts, and water vehicles.
