Robovent expands into the abrasive blast industry

Robovent, a provider of air filtration and ventilation systems in Sterling Heights, Mich., has announced its expansion into the abrasive blast industry.
The company will introduce new mobile dust collectors designed to require less floor space than the products currently used in the industry, the company states. Abrasive blasting involves the targeted, pressurized blasting of steam against abrasive metals to clean or refine them. The contact between the steam and metal often causes materials to expel into the air. The new systems will entrap and remove contaminants that result from blasting to help maintain optimum air quality.
