Avery Barron Industries LLC (ABI), Tulsa, Okla., has formed Avery Barron Industries – Stamping LLC (ABI‐Stamping) with the acquisition of the assets and trade name of Interstate Tool and Mfg. Co. The acquired company, a tool and die manufacturer providing metal stampings to domestic and international customers in a variety of industries, will continue to operate from its facility in North Tulsa.
"Collectively the two companies will provide an extensive array of services directed at the manufacture of custom metal parts," said Bruce Barron, CEO of ABI. The acquisition allows ABI to offer customers more than 120,000 sq. ft. of fabrication and stamping capabilities, including presses up to 700 tons, multiple brakes, laser and plasma cutters, turret punches, CNC mills and lathes, a wire EDM, and painting and final assembly.
Michael Barber joins ABI partners Bruce Barron, Kimberly Barron, John Boettcher, and Kyle Whiteis in the new venture. Having worked in the automobile industry for GM and Calsonic, Barber brings extensive manufacturing management experience to his new position as president of Interstate Tool.
