Braner/Loopco receives order for coil processing system

Braner/Loopco, Schiller Park, Ill., has received an order from Metal Processing Corp., a Gary, Ind., flat-rolled coil and sheet toll processor, for a 90,000-lb. by 84-in. turret head slitting and slit coil packaging system with capacity to process hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and coated coil in gauges from 0.090 through 0.625 in.

The system features wireless coil loading and unloading; quick-change turret head slitter with patented QuickLock threadless tooling lock-up; Andiamo automatic coil threading; push-button edge trim scrap threading; a patented variable strip tensioner; 20-, 24-, and 30-in. injector recoiler drums; and automatic packaging for slit coils to 20,000 lbs.
