Braner/Loopco to provide slitting line to Southwest Steel Coil

Braner/Loopco, Schiller Park, Ill., has received an order from Southwest Steel Coil, a processor and distributor of ferrous and nonferrous flat-rolled products, for a precision 60,000-lb. by 72-in. by 0.25-in. Hi-Performance Turret Head™ slitting line, to be installed in the company’s Santa Teresa, N.M., facility.

Features include free-loop and tight-line operating modes; a quick-change, precision slitter with patented threadless slitter tooling lockup; wireless coil loading and unloading controls; and the Andiamo threading system that automatically threads high-strength, heavy-gauge slit mults.
