Britten Metalworks announces equipment, facility expansion

Britten Metalworks, a Traverse City, Mich.-based stamping and fabrication shop, has broken ground on an 18,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing expansion. The new space is expected to be fully available for manufacturing by November 2016.

Additionally, the firm has added a 250-ton Accurpress press brake to its CNC plasma cutting, welding, and metal stamping equipment. Featuring a 12-ft. bed, the press brake is fully CNC capable, making it suitable for repeatable production part programs. Additional new equipment is planned for the new manufacturing space and will be installed through 2017.
