BTD Manufacturing acquires Performance Tool & Die

BTD Manufacturing Inc., an operating company of Otter Tail Corp., has acquired Lakeville, Minn.-based Performance Tool & Die Inc.

Dale Messer, formerly the president and co-owner of Performance Tool, now is general manager of operations at the Lakeville plant. Co-owner Dave Hasselberg continues as general manager of sales.

In business since 1980, Performance Tool & Die specializes in manufacturing mid-size to large progressive dies for customers though the Midwest, East and West Coasts, and the southern U.S. The company has 23 employees.
