Constellium to build automotive structure manufacturing facility in Georgia

Amsterdam-based Constellium N.V. has announced plans to construct a new facility in Bartow County, Ga., for the manufacture of aluminum automotive structures. Construction of the plant—a $20 million investment by Constellium and a $12 million investment by developer Seefried Properties—will begin in early 2016, with start of production anticipated in 2017.

The planned 84,000-sq.-ft. greenfield facility may be expanded up to 220,000 sq. ft. to adapt to customers' supply needs in the future. The company expects to create about 150 high-tech manufacturing jobs at this location by 2019.
