Herr-Voss Stamco commissions coil processing lines at Cascadia Metals

Herr-Voss Stamco®, Callery, Pa., has completed the commissioning of a cut-to-length line and a Strand Extensioner® slitting line at Cascadia Metals in Brandon, Manitoba.

The slitting line processes material from 0.013 to 0.25 in. thick with an incoming coil capacity of 50,000 lbs. by 72 in. wide. It includes the manufacturer’s quick-change injector slitter head system. The slitter provides evenly rewound coils while also imparting leveling and burr reduction to the slit material, states the company.

The cut-to-length line includes a Precision Leveler® that processes material from 0.024 to 0.135 in. thick. The line also incorporates the manufacturer’s proprietary Electro Discharge Texturing (EDT) and a high-speed shear.
