Herr-Voss Stamco, Callery, Pa., has completed the commissioning of a 0.625- by 76-in.-wide slitting line for Atlas Tube at its Harrow, Ont., facility.

The line can run 0.625-in.-thick, 80,000-PSI-yield steel at speeds up to 300 FPM. The line also handles coils up to 80,000 lbs. Features include a quick-change slitter head injection system, quick load separator arbors, and a threading clamp design that allows for simplified insertion of multiple strands into the recoiler gripper slot.

The line allows Atlas Tube to move tube mill material processing in-house.

Herr-Voss Stamco is a designer and manufacturer of slitting, cut-to-length, tension leveling, precision roller leveling, and other coil processing equipment.
