Kenmode appoints director of quality assurance

Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping, Algonquin, Ill., a manufacturer of complex, high-precision, custom metal stampings and assemblies for the automotive, electronics, consumer goods, insert molding, and medical device industries, has hired Abid Rashid as director of quality assurance. He has more than 15 years of experience in managing quality systems, processes, and certifications for manufacturers in the U.S. and abroad.

He previously served as corporate quality manager at Sonoco Products Co. in the Protective Solutions Division, vice president of quality at NetCom Inc., and quality assurance manager for Prince Industries, all in the Chicago area. He holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
