Kenmode expands apprenticeship program

Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping, Algonquin, Ill., is expanding its formal tool- and diemaking apprenticeship program for qualified candidates who are interested in careers in advanced manufacturing. The five-year, 10,000-hour program combines paid, full-time, on-the-job training at Kenmode and paid tuition for night classes at Elgin Community College, Elgin, Ill.

Apprentices who complete the program, which has qualified for certification with the U.S. Dept. of Labor as a registered tool and die apprenticeship program, receive a nationally recognized certification that attests to their proficiency in tool- and diemaking.

<-p>Candidates for the program can send their resumes to Bob Denley at rbd@kenmode.com.
