Schuler completes acquisition of Mller Weingarten

Schuler Inc., Canton, Mich., recently announced the completion of a legal takeover process by which its parent company, Schuler AG, acquired Müller Weingarten AG. The legal process was completed in September, and the boards of management at the two companies met to finalize the organizational changes. With the acquisition, Schuler AG now has a presence in more than 20 countries and global market coverage in sales, production, and service, the company reports. Schuler Inc. is a provider of metal forming products, systems, and services.

Schuler plans to leverage operational synergies to support stamping and metal forming operations in North America and around the world. The company says the acquisition will provide its North American customers with economies of scale, new products designed to improve efficiency and to penetrate new markets, and a global service network that provides more services for new and existing product lines.

Schuler Inc. is the main point of contact for new equipment sales and service for both companies' installations in the U.S. and Canada. Müller Weingarten S.A. de C.V., an independent company, is the main point of contact for aftermarket service for all Schuler Group brands installed in Mexico.
