Schuler delivers its biggest-ever servo transfer press to Craemer

Schuler, located in Göppingen, Germany, has built its largest-ever servo transfer press for Craemer, an automotive supplier in Herzebrock-Clarholz, Germany. The press is 36.09 ft. tall, 49.21 ft. long, 26.25 ft. wide, and weighs almost 1,100 tons.

Craemer is using the line with its 26.25-ft.-long, 8.20-ft.-deep press bed for manufacturing structural parts, especially car seat shells. The parts are transported through several stations during the forming process. In the past the company had to use two presses in line, linked by three automation systems. The new single press now handles the process.
