Schuler forms alliance with Positech for notching presses

Schuler Inc., Canton, Mich., has signed an integrated supply contract with Positech of Lexington, Tenn., for manually operated notching presses.

Schuler supplies the mechanical portion of the N8C and N20C manually operated notchers, with Positech integrating its Compuslot controls and servo-drive technology. Spare parts, service, and retrofit programs for the presses—which are used to produce motor laminations for electrical motors—are handled exclusively by Schuler. The agreement covers North America.

In addition, Schuler is responsible for sales and marketing of the notchers, service of all new and existing Positech notching presses installed in the region, and handling of commercial contacts for the presses.

Schuler provides sales, management, and project coordination for metal forming products. Positech manufactures lift-assist and positioning equipment.
