Tesla acquires Riviera Tool LLC
Palo Alto, Calif.-based Tesla Motors Inc. has announced its acquisition of Riviera Tool LLC, a tool and die manufacturer located in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The 100-employee firm, to be renamed Tesla Tool and Die Factory, manufactures large-scale custom metal stamping die systems used to produce sheet metal parts and assemblies for the automotive industry. It now will focus solely on Tesla needs. Tesla will continue to use other tool and die manufacturers as suppliers.
