Pferd parent company acquires Superior Abrasives

Pferd Inc., Leominster Pa., a subsidiary of August Rüggeberg GmbH & Co. of Marienheide, Germany, has announced that the Rüggeberg Group has acquired Superior Abrasives, Dayton, Ohio. The company now is named Superior Abrasives LLC

Pferd and Superior Abrasives LLC will operate independently of one another. All employees of the two companies remain at their current locations, and the two sales organizations do not sell each other’s products. All distribution channels remain the same.

Superior Abrasives provides coated, nonwoven grinding and polishing discs and rolls. Pferd Inc. offers grinding, cutting, finishing, and polishing products; power tools; industrial brushes; and maintenance tools.
