Hexagon Mfg. Intelligence North America launches new business unit

Hexagon Mfg. Intelligence North America, North Kingstown, R.I., has launched a new Integrated Solutions strategic business unit. The team develops automated, commercial-off-the-shelf, advanced manufacturing systems by integrating 3-D measurement technologies with sensors, software, and robotics.

These data-driven automation systems deliver actionable information for predictive manufacturing in a connected Industry 4.0 environment. On-demand access to real-time factory floor data helps operators and managers to monitor, troubleshoot, and control production processes.

The new business unit also develops systems that integrate robotics and metrology. These inline, near-line, or offline measurement workcells are scalable, portable, modular, and ready for use on the shop floor. The systems collect and process data continuously during production operations.
