Laboratory Testing adds stress rupture, creep testing services

Laboratory Testing Inc. has added stress rupture and creep testing to the services it performs.

The company recently purchased four fully automated stress rupture/creep machines that test at temperatures up to 2,000 degrees F. The requirement for temperature control is met by calibrated thermocouples attached to the test specimens.

The testing and specification generation comply with ASTM standards E4, E8, E83, E139, E292, and similar requirements. The testing systems also meet ISO 9000 compliance and data management requirements.

The company inspects and analyzes metals and alloys found in fasteners, tubular products, bars, plates, and castings. It also provides specimen machining, failure analysis calibration, and materials engineering services.
