Laboratory Testing expands and renews Nadcap accreditation for materials testing

Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI), Hatfield, Pa., has renewed and significantly expanded the scope of its Nadcap accreditation in materials testing for the aerospace industry.

The lab has achieved accreditation for broader mechanical testing specimen preparation, metallurgical evaluation of welds, microstructure examination, and elemental analysis. It also has added compression testing, high-cycle fatigue, creep testing, crack propagation/crack growth testing, and evaluation of welds for GE Aviation and Pratt & Whitney to its list of previously approved mechanical, metallurgical, chemical, and specimen preparation services.

The new accreditation certificate, issued with 18-month merit status, is valid until Oct. 31, 2016.
