Laser Design and GKS Inspection Services appoint business development manager

Giles Gaskell has joined Laser Design Inc. and its engineering services division, GKS Inspection Services, as business development manager. In this position, he collaborates with Steve DeRemer, GKS general manager, out of the GKS facility in Plymouth, Mich., to expand the market for Laser Design's 3-D scanning hardware and software and GKS's scanning services.

A graduate of Aston University in Birmingham, England, Gaskell earned an honor's degree in mechanical engineering. He founded companies in both the U.K. and Italy that provided noncontact reverse engineering hardware, software, and expertise to design, engineering, and manufacturing companies. He moved to the U.S. in 2005 and was employed as director of business development for NVision Inc.
