LTI announces retirement of longtime mechanical testing specialist

After more than 27 years with Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI), a family-owned independent testing and metrology laboratory in Hatfield, Pa., Mechanical Testing Specialist Glenn Derstine has retired.

Derstine joined the company in 1988 from Rex Heat Treat, formerly known as J.W. Rex Co. He managed the mechanical testing department and machining for his first 25 years at LTI. In preparation for retirement, he began working in 2012 with third-generation family member Brandon McVaugh to transition him into the role. Derstine then became senior technical adviser for mechanical testing until his retirement.
