Ophir-Spiricon named Utah manufacturer of the year

Ophir-Spiricon, a North Logan, Utah, manufacturer of precision laser measurement equipment and a Newport Corp. brand, has been named Utah Manufacturer of the Year by the Utah Manufacturers Association.

"We recognize manufacturing companies in Utah for outstanding performance in operational performance and best practices, economic achievement, workplace safety, community and state involvement, public outreach, and fidelity to the principles of free enterprise," said Todd Bingham, president of the association.

Over the last four years, Ophir-Spiricon has averaged more than 10 percent growth per year and an average increase in profits of 30 percent per employee.
