Prime Controls marks 20th anniversary

Prime Controls, Dayton, Ohio, a manufacturer of double-metal-sheet sensors and controls for the canmaking, automotive, appliance, and other metal forming industries, celebrates its 20th year in business Sept. 9, 2012.

The company originated as a spinoff of Hyde Park Electronics, which now is part of Schneider Electric, producing double-sheet detectors with features such as push-button calibration, automatic frequency adjustment, and international ready power supply. Over the years the product line evolved to include automatic calibration, thin foil detection, and the detection of such materials as copper and stainless steel.
