Texas Iron and Metal marks 75 years in business

Steel and pipe provider Texas Iron and Metal, Houston, is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2014. Established during World War II, the company began supplying stainless steel products to aid the country’s war effort. Today the firm has two offices: its headquarters in Houston and a second location in New Orleans.

The company carries more than 20 types of products, including pipes of various opening shapes; pipe fittings; flanges; wide-flange and standard I-beams; welding wire and rods; UM plates and floor plates; angle, channel, and flat bars; and square and rectangular tubing. The products are used for oil and gas transportation, plumbing, manufacturing, and construction projects.
