ThyssenKrupp Materials NA opens coil processing facility in Alabama

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA Inc. (TKMNA) has opened a 100,000-sq.-ft. carbon, stainless, and aluminum coil processing and distribution service center in Woodstock, Ala. The $15 million facility currently employs 20 people; at full capacity, it will create nearly 45 jobs.

ThyssenKrupp Steel Services and Ken-Mac Metals, both divisions of TKMNA, occupy the facility. Currently two cut-to-length lines and one 72-in.-wide slitter process material through the facility. The investment includes a surrounding property that will allow the facility to expand up to 250,000 sq. ft.
