Timken names general manager of global distribution

The Timken Co., Canton, Ohio, has appointed Louise Dalton to the position of general manager of global distribution. She is responsible for strengthening key commercial processes that support business relationships with distributors worldwide.

Dalton joined the company in 2008 as a manufacturing engineer manager at the company's aerospace division in Lebanon, N.H. She has served as demand manager in the supply chain organization and, most recently, as global supply chain manager for the aerospace business segment.

Dalton holds a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering from Brunel University in Middlesex, England, and an MBA from Boston University.

The company manufactures and markets mechanical components and steel, including bearings, engineered steel bars and tubes, transmissions, gearboxes, and chain.
